AT LONG LAST WE HAVE REACHED THE VOTING ROUND OF THE WRITER GAMES!!! Our Finalists have been working hard all week long, stressing, guzzling coffee (nasty stuff), regretting every decision to listen to my wonderfully good advice that they should enter this in the first place (I regret nothing), and gleefully discussing the joys of eating chocolate and killing off reader's favorite characters (yes, nonwriters, you should be concerned. And afraid. We writers have a scary concept of fun). Overall, in writer terms, no one died (real people at least, there were plenty of fictional people's deaths, of course), so this was a success. A wonderful, word-packed, story-filled, success. THANK YOU SO MUCH for everyone who entered, and everyone who votes down below! AND NOW, as I've been happily not getting to the thing you've been excited for this whole week (or maybe even month), I shall end your torture with the grand command of GO FORTH, AND READ THE STORIES AND CAST THY VOTES! ~THE RULES/HOW THIS WORKS~~ Click on Each story title down below to read it ~ After reading, scroll down to the bottom of this post and click the button that says "VOTE!" ~ Enter the require info and submit! ~ You can only vote ONCE (so think long and hard on which story is your favorite before voting) ~Feel free to SHARE this contest with your friends! The more voters the merrier! (plus, they get three awesome FREE short stories to read!). ~ Voting closed and Winners announced Feb. 5th! ~READ THE ENTRIES~*In no particular order **Click the buttons to go to the story After reading all three of those amazing stories, take some time to stop and think: which story inspired you? Which story took you on a journey? Captured your attention, gave you hope, showed you that no matter what--you can keep going, you can keep making that next step, you can be redeemed, your endings can be beginnings too, your failures can give breath to meaning and life and light?
Think about it, reread if you need to, and when you know the answer, click the button right below and vote for that story.

This contest is amazing, and each one of the stories gave a wonderful thought, or perhaps a better way to describe it is to say that each story gave me an idea, not to do something exactly, but to feel something in a new way. I wish that I could read more stories like this all the time.
